When we arose on August 24, the sky was overcast and grapple
began to fall heavily as we broke camp. As we hiked down to Two Medicine Lake
following the trail around the foot of Sinopah Mountain, we ate huckleberries
from the side of the trail. When we
arrived at our camp at Upper Two Medicine Lake it was raining. Upper Two Medicine Lake was much larger than
Cobalt lake and was surrounded by peaks. Our hike the next day, back to Two
Medicine Lake and the trail head, was under clear, blue skies.
