Buddy, Moe and I hiked up through the forest on the Resthouse Meadows Trail in the Mount Evans Wilderness, not far from Denver. The high point was a meadows area created by a forest fire in the early sixties. From the Meadows there are sweeping views of the wilderness area. Lincoln Lake is close to the meadows, just below the Mount Evans Road.
